This client was looking for a basic upgrade to the vanity in their bathroom. In addition to the existing vanity being dated and worn out, it was also very low compared to modern standards. The client found a new drawer style product on sale at the local box store, including a nice stone countertop and backsplash. The only complications were the drain trap needed to be raised up to accommodate the drawer, and the opening for the plumbing needed to be cut to accommodate the existing location so a plumber didn’t need to get involved. While I was there, I also installed a high end bidet for the client. This project took under 5 hours start to finish and since the client provided the big items it only cost about $75 in additional hardware to get the existing plumbing reconfigured.

This garage door opener had stopped working and looked like it wasn’t exactly a professional installation! Despite it’s questionable mounting job it had been working hard for at least 15 years. Considering the age we decided to simply replace the unit rather than waste time and money attempting a repair. Good thing too, as the sprocket had snapped right off and wouldn’t have been an easy fix. In addition to simply replacing the unit the mounting hardware needed to be replaced, I ran new wires to the new switch & new reversing sensors, and the beam it was attached to was braced to the rafter to keep it holding steady for years to come. This project took about 4 hours onsite start to finish, and with under $250 in hardware this was an affordable fix done right.

This client chose to upgrade their old conventional sump to a robust Liberty pump with a battery backup system. This product uses a second 12 volt backup pump in case of power outages, tripped breakers, or when the primary pump eventually fails and needs replacement.
